Re: Let's see your GUITAR!
Been wanting a Squier VM Jazzmaster ever since I got to play one a couple of weeks ago...so I jumped on the Prymaxe 20% off for Black Friday (naughty me, I know
) and got this:

I totally wanted the white finish, but sunburst was all they had, so I jumped on it. I know it's a cheapie, but I'm pretty bummed at the nasty wood they picked for the top of a sunburst guitar. I've done woodworking in the past, and I'm kind of OCD anyway, so that kind of stuff drives me up the wall.

Needs some pretty serious setup tweaking too - high action and the low E frets out on the neck pickup cover - but that was more expected. Plan to drop a Warmoth modified Mustang bridge on it anyway, so no biggie there.

Maybe I should go the oldschool J. Mascis route and sticker the hell out of it? I mean, I already have a CIJ JM in Lake Placid Blue that's still nice and pristine - I basically bought this one because they play super-nice for the money, and to have a Jazzy I wouldn't be afraid to screw with.

Stickers!
Also I had to tweak my VM Jazzmaster when I had it. But like you I did a bridge swap so it wasn't a huge huge issue

I thought it was about time I stopped being lazy and actually posted some gear. Here's every guitar I've ever owned. The first two I didn't have my own pictures for because I had those things yonks ago brahzzz. NSFW for size. The only guitars out of this lot I still have are the G&L and a Godin LG EMG that I didn't bother posting because it's an ugly POS.

Argh, it was the second guitar I ever owned and the only piece of gear I truly regret selling. Sounded amazing and was a super solid guitar. A lot handsomer in the flesh, so to speak, than the pictures make out.
I WAY under priced myself as well

Oh, dude,

I've always kinda wanted one of those. Also always thought about partscastering up something similar.

Aw, thanks man

That's a cool idea, I think I'd go for seafoam though on the second time around. There's just something about seafoam or surf green with inlays that gets me hard.

That natural finish. umph! used to have a strat that had the same finish as that.
