I tired playing an 8 string at a guitar shop. I was very lost.

It's a bit of a work out. And it also makes all of your bad habits stunningly apparent.

Cool! you found one you like. The one at my local shop didn't impress me unplugged enough to plug it in :idk: but Ibanez is really hit and miss, I love them but you have to sift through a bunch in a store a lot of the time.

The neck is surprisingly comfortable and I'm surprised with how good the pickups actually sound. Unplugged I think the issue is that there's not enough body mass for those low strings to resonate properly, so the pickups and amp have to do all of the heavy lifting.

Ibanez does a really great job with their necks if you like those little skinny necks, I've found. That's a sweet looking guitar.

Sexy! I've wanted to try one of those for a long time. My big guitar GAS at the moment is a Gibson 7 string V....

I got me a baritone today as well. Plays well to me - was setup before they sent to me. I don't see what all the hate is for Eastwood but maybe in due time time I won't like it once I spend more time with it. I guess we will see.

*Edit I meant Eastwood, not Hallmark. I always get those 2 confused.
