lazy question but I know I'll get better results asking here than some random web search.
I need a new soldering iron. had some old soldering gun my dad gave me years ago that finally went kaput. also have had the cheap radio shack pen versions but they always seem to give up the ghost too soon.
any recommendations or suggestions or what to look for. I've got an otl tube amp i'm building and need something that's going to work without getting too hot...or any other concern that I don't realize I should have.
Got one of these a while ago and lurv it, if you want to shell out another 40-50 bones they have a digital one as well, but I'm poor so I nabbed the analog.
I have one like this. It's really enough for me since I'm not in production or anything. A finer tip than the stock one can be handy for pedal stuff, but the stock one will do.

No production, just an otl tube guitar amp. Its all point to point. Pretty sweet, 50 watts with four 6as7g power tubes, two 12at7s driver tubes and a 6sn7. Preamp uses six 12at7 and one 6sn7 loop cathode follower. Uses four 8" Jensen Vintage ceramics in series.
