Question for ye owners of 30" scale guitars/BassVIs

I may want to build another 5ths-tuned Baritone in the future. Currently, my 28" is tuned, low to high, D A E B F# A. That's starting from a bass D. I have a .95 in that spot right now, and am looking to get a .100 on there because it's just a hair too floppy for me. So my question is this: If I put together a 30" scale instrument, would I be able to tune to the high notes as well, or am I going to get weird string tension and annoying sitar-like buzz? I guess I could possibly just lower the tuning another step, but I'm curious. thanks fuzzybrrreauxxzzzzzz
