awesome!
thanks for that vid! I haven't seen that one before.
god, I would give my left nut to see hendrix. My friend's dad said he saw him twice, once at a performance hall that was acoustically designed for string quartets...Hendrix came on with the Experience and he said it was so loud he was just laughing uncontrollably but no one could hear him. awesome.

I read somewhere that Jimi seemed to be moving toward Gibsons, near the end of his career... he was playing them more and more. I'll try to see if I can find a link.

Without a doubt! I'm just shocked because, well, this is the first time I ever heard of him playing a LP.

Yup! And he may have used a Telecaster on several early tunes.

he's also been seen using a Jazzmaster in the early days before the Experience and a Flying V later with band of gypsys

He apparently borrowed Noel Redding's tele to record the guitar tracks on "Purple Haze," "Fire" and possibly "Hey Joe".

But "Hey Joe" definitely sounds like a strat to my ears.
