Oy vey! i have a fuzzbox problem

Post by Aum_Mani »

 So i think i broke my shit and now i'm trying to fix it but i'm not very knowledgeable about wiring and stuff or whatever...Here's whats up, I have an oldskool DE Soda meiser with the chaos switchy on the front, and whenever i turn the pedal on i don't get sound at first, it almost sounds like it has to "warm up" i know that's how pedals work, but its like..no sound, then i'll play with the on/off button or just dick around for 30 seconds or so then sound will start coming through but only like "half" way it'll be kinda quiet and muffled then a few seconds after that the sound opens up i guess, then it works normal and sounds brutal and awesome. How do i get it to stop doing that, i cant really take it anywhere while its doing this, sooo...HAALP.

Also i love that you folks have a Jean Luc Picard facepalm smiley on here it totally sums up my current emotions.

Awesome first post... :!!!:

Might be the switch or maybe not, pedals don't need to warm up... Ask Aen at Dwarfcraft...

Sounds like it's either a bad switch or there's a loose connection somewhere.

Yea kinda figured it was a loose connection but just looking at it everything seems good, but its kinda hard to tell. There is one wire that goes from the input jack to the control knob that is taped up where it connects to the knob. maybe that has something to do with it? or maybe it is just a bad switch

this, also maybe a 'cold' solder joint on the switch itself.
