If they're going to have handwireds they're probably going to be a little much. Just look at Handwired Vox and Handwired Orange compared to the PCB versions.
Is that big news? What about these guys and their ilk? I've played one of the big 3x10" Combo amps and it sounded awesome. It was also extremely expensive though.

i know.....
hence the
would be cool for smaller combos though to do it right, then the price wouldn't be obscene. of course they do have the vintage status going for them so they'll probably sell like hot cakes regardless of what the circuits are.

Truth. That or people will just continue to seek out the original ones if they are priced about the same. Or the price of the originals will go up and then these won't sell. Interested to see some deets on these reissues

Local shop has a room full of old 50s and 60s non major brand amps that have amps that are all in various stages of repair, and they all look so incredibly unique in that way fender excelsior is trying to mimic. and he WON'T sell them??? he's got some choice blonde fenders and blackface too that he's not "ready" to sell. drives me nuts....I'LL PAY YOU TO FIX THEM TOO JUST SELL ME THE DAMN THING ALREADY

he's a cool guy actually.
They remind him of days of yore and HE CANT JUST LET THEM GO
Zinky has been the brand owner for years. Nice stuff from what I hear but not vintage accurate or anything. New owner is a company related to Pigtronix, and the 2014 amps must be theirs.

Thanks for the input. Like I said, I actually liked the sound of the new model I've played once, but if I recall correctly it was priced around 3000€. Thats about what I can spend on gear after two or three years of saving. I would REALLY have to want it. Hopefully the new ones sound just as awesome but don't cost that much.
I played one of these today the thunderbolt.
It was fantastic just a really nice amp I like the lack of controls on the amp, the tone stack was real simple but amazingly versatile.
Definitely not like a blues only thing, took fuzz really well which was not something I was expecting.
Thinking of getting the Thunderbolt + I like the idea of selectable wattage.
