Do you live on the East or West end???

For $500 you can get the real deal, Marshall DSL5C 1x10" 5-Watt 2-Channel Tube Combo...

I have the class5 combo and its righteous sounding. loud as fuck all compared to my other 5 watt tube amps. it nails that compressed crunch.

get the jcm 800 1watt. the only problem is finding someone willing to let go of them. those awesome 1 watt series flew off the shelves down here, and i never see them 2nd hand.

i love the dsl (my main amp is a english dsl 100w), but if you want a jcm 800 myaswell go for it. they also make the dsl in a 1 watt too.

Man, that JCM-1 is bitchin'! I've only seen and played one and it was great beyond the $800 price tag. They're so limited tho, he wouldn't budge on price.

It was the head model that I tried out btw.

EDIT: I just looked on Marshall's site and it says they made more like 1200-1400 of each.

Damn straight, same here, they sound very impressive and are the best up to 5 watt amps I've ever played in my opinion.

Yeah, price isn't bad considering build quality and tone, really sounded great. Had I not just stumbled upon it, not realizing how fast they'd sell, I probably wouldn't have been so opposed to dropping $800 on a 1W head. I'd really love to try the Plexi.

This guy on eBay has a couple JCM-1 combos available for a slight price increase.
