Especially the earlier half of their output... Great, underrated stuff!

I really wish I'd gone to the lollapolloza where they were "Revolting Cunts" with Al Jourgensen.

Anyway, is Deluxe in 3/4 or 9/4? I guess it doesn't really matter, but I've always wondered. It's a song that you feel like dancing to, but you have to kinda fast-waltz to it.

I wouldn't know, but I can dance to any music because I have about as much skill with music as I do moving my body, so it's all freeform spazzing and what not.

I was at that Lollapalooza! I still have the T-shirt......and the ear holes (I got my ears pierced there...haha)

....and I personally would count 'Deluxe' in 9/8....and then the chorus in 6/8.

I just remembered that Jesus And Mary Chain were on the bill at that Lolla too.
And Rage Against The Machine were on the tiny second stage before they even had an album out (at least at the LA show).

Really like this. :excellent: It reminded me so much of Cocteau Twins (with more guitar) when I first heard it. You into them at all?

Hell yes!

And I can see the CT connection... To me, it's kind of a blend of MBV, in regards to the rhythm instruments and female vocals, and the more melodic and "delicate" aspects of CT's sound in particular.

Good ears. :thumb: That track (and others) was produced by Robin Guthrie of Cocteau Twins.

I love Cocteau Twins so much that I would have to start a new thread in order to contain all the gushing I would commit.
