Three of these have popped up for around six bills in the last week. Is that really what they go for on the used market, even when some of the posts are so brutally "I bought two so I could sell one later to almost cover the cost of both. What color do you want?"
Didn't Zak make it 1 pre-order per person only?

Flipping off a second won't get them rich, just "mentioned here" ;)
I have no idea. There was a thread in the BST (now deleted) that said "I've got two, a copper one and a red one. I'm keeping one, the other one is gonna be $600. You can pick which color you want."

And the dude had like seven or eight posts.

Shit like that makes me dislike a company, even though the original builder has only a small role in creating that situation. It's the Klon Phenomenon.
good deals are here.

I had a VERY hard time liking my Wow Signal. But now can't live without it. Such a wonderful and unique and underrated design.... Never heard anything quite like it.

I only wish the internal trimmer was outside... Makes no sense to me to put it inside....
+1 on putting things on the outside. I made the internal DIP switch a footswitch on my WOW clone. Much more useful.

Sooooo.... anyone willing to lend me a Sputnik for reversing? Don`t feel like buying another Spaceman pedal, having already bought two, and sharing everything. At least that way, it will also stop the $600 resale bitching as well.

It's not bad form to heckle IMO. People do it all the time! That's what's great about this place! I mean come on! Look at the disasterous fun that Echo's Klon turned into! Classic!!!

I have NO interest in spending this kind of cash on any of these pedals. They are out of my range and I've spent up to 500 on a pedal before. 600 for something like this, is just nuts. It better sound like God's vagina. (oh I'm going to hell for that one).

OH and Dr. Scientist is the only Spaceman for me. His PCB's look WAY cooler than this.

$600 is nearly a 60% increase in price via flippers looking to skim. Even if only 1 was "bought to try" it's tacky to jack up the price so much on a new product.
The tackiest part is people were doing this while they were still in production from the builder at $355.
And there were 69 made, of the red edition everyone seems to be flipping.

The real "rare" Spaceman peds are limited to 30 (or less, even 1-offs) and fetch the high prices because of the supply/demand.

I had both Gemini III and Mercury III pedals, together which was a killer combination.
Awesome looking, sound great...like they were designed for each other, but last year when folks started dropping $600 apiece...I traded them away for cool stuff that was more "player's grade" and affordable. So yeah maybe I sound a little hypocritical but I didn't buy-in as an investment opportunity.

This +1

Missed out on the Mercury by 1 day from last of dealers. Just found one going for cheaper than $700 but convincing myself to get one is hard (convincing the wife is impossible) and I love Zak's builds - WOW didn't interest here so happily skipped it but the sputnik and gemini are in this house and will not be sold.
great trades with: Lintybits, smallsnd/bigsnd, bennybanana, julius_deane, bass_econo, rustywire, jbf3, Dandolin, goroth, devnulljp, Helter, Justinm1789, Inconuucl, NDominy, Uncle Grandfather

I listened. For 9 minutes I listened. You guys know there's like a hundred dirt pedals that sound like this and don't cost almost 400 bucks right? Haha. JK

Buy what you want! I spend money like that one shit I think is worth it.
