It's for either my niece or nephew...not sure and still need to find something equally "cool" for the other. last year I got each a korg monotribe cause they always love playing music when they visit(they are 9). The microbrute really doesn't offer much more than what the monotribes can already do....except for they keys and how cool it's gonna look to them. mo knobs is mo better. plus with cv they can hook up their monotribes to it......i think.

They are twins, my sister and her wife's and they have an older sister 11 yr old who plays piano and...guitar :erm: i just started giving them all lessons this past summer....they both got guitars for christmas. anyways, the twins have always gravitated to my instruments when ever they would visit. i call them the "twisted tones" cause they would sit on the floor with a guitar laying flat there too in an open tuning, hoooked up to god knows how ever many pedals they wanted to play with....good news is they always wanted more fuzz   :thumb: ....so one would strum the guitar and use a slide on the strings while the other would tweek away at the knobs. they would take turns, or both play guitar or both play with the pedals with feedback. the look in their eyes and smiles on their faces....the way that makes me feel, you just can't pay for that sort of happiness. pretty awesome :)

now i'm thinking i might give the microbrute to the eldest, and get a different volca for the each twin. they LOVE their monotribes, much to their mom's chagrin.   She's my older sister.

I kid you not my young friends. I bought everything I needed and even some things I didn't need. I have more than enough crap to last me a long time (although that Warped Vinyl pedal that was posted in another thread looks interesting and I wouldn't mind a Hexe Bitcrusher III).

If it seems like a bought a lot of stuff, it is important to note, that I just really started playing and buying gear this year. So I am still experimenting and finding my sound...seeing what I like and don't like. I played bass a long long time ago in highschool, and guitar a tiny tiny bit about 10 years ago, but I sold all my guitars about 8 or so years ago and never had any pedals besides a digitech multi effect thingy. So I am really starting from scratch here. :snax:

The Digitech? I threw that out. It got messed up in a house fire - smoke/water damage. My guitars luckily didn't get messed up as they were in their cases.

I got myself 19 cd's and a pair of shoes. Not everything was on a discount. But let's just say I fell for the whole black-friday commercial thing hard this year ok. Also, I was gonna order a Dwarfcraft ECT, but it was out of stock at the shop. However, I'm first in line now when the next batch of dwarfcraft arrives. Stoooked!

How's the greenback compared to the stock 7080? Been wanting to try out things but this stock has a great tight low end. While this amp could be a bit harsh at the high ends, so I wondered if the 7080 could be one of the reasons
