18V sounds cool but only advantage is you get a little more head room while losing some of that glorious crunch. Doesn't break up quite the same at 18V, sounds better to me at 9V for sure. Higher voltage maybe helps if you run it in clean boost mode but it gets a pretty nice clean boost at 9V as well in low gain mode with clipping toggle in the center and gain dialed waaayyy back, volume way up.

Guitar volume rolled back to 6-7 on a Fuzz-dimed Fulltone 69 (NKT275 FF).
Real learning curve involved and the Bias knob occasionally needs fine tuning, but nothing else I've tried has been as interactive and dynamic while minimizing fret noise from lazy fingers.
It has the response of plugging directly into a *dialed in* amp. I have yet to find an IC-based design that can compete. Any recommendations are sought.

For context, I'm all about fingering sustained harmonic feedback and saturated, ringing melodies with bending...between diming the gtr-vol and bone-picking some ripping power chords.

yep, the sparkle motion after a buffer/activated pedal has a really interesting breakup sound, with the drive maxed and the bias low.
plus the mini/fuck for edge of breakup.
the mini can get fuzzy and soft by dialling back the bias, and the fuck has a sharper edge, plus the bonus of the crackle.
i prefer the volume crackle (down switch?) at lower gain settings.
superpuzzle with the octave circuit off is also great at dirty low gain!

the elements is more flexible at dialling in just the right low gain sound with the wide ranging eq and clipping options - clipping off for a bit more sparkle, switch down for a softer, muzzy edge.

the fairfield barbershop has a unique open sound, no tone control so its very open top end. i use it 99.9% of the time at drive max, sag 2 o'clock

one thats never mentioned here is the manifold drive, has a great saggy sound, and the little eq switch goes from mellow/sharpish/fat-compressed

+1 Elements. Mine is set for the edge of breakup sound, low gain, no clipping. I also find you need to dial in a little bit of clean blend to make it really shine for this. Plus with the incredible EQ range, you should be be able to make it work with any setup. As a bonus, just by flicking it to high gain and adding some clipping diodes you can get great high gain sounds.

also if it doesn`t really grab you in low gain mode, it`s a fantstic high gainéfuzzy distortion Really can`t go wrong.

SS/BS Fuck OD. Can't say I have a tone of experience though. I liked it more than the Mini, but I have completely different amps now. But I really like that the fuck is great on bass and guitar, which is the thing that is hardest for me to find in a lot of dirt pedals. Elements is really great, I only sold mine because I wanted to try other stuff. I personally thought it was best at high gain and I don't use high gain much, I'd usually rather have nasty fuzz or just simple OD
