Tell me what to listen to!
I haven't had any new music to check out in months. I've just been listening to the same ten albums, and the records i have.
Give me some shit worth checking out, so i can torrent tons of shit when i can get a friend with a working compy to come over. Seriously, i'm getting withdrawals and shit.
Also, does anyone know if any music news sites worth following? Pitchfork fell off a year ago, and vice is only really good for hiphop, which i'm trying to move away from.

Re: Tell me what to listen to!
The new Gringo Star album is killer.
This Will Destroy You has a Live from Reykjavik album that is also killer.
Umm...
Those Darlins had a pretty good one if you're into rock with a hint of country.
Wintergatan is insanely good.
True Widow and Russian Circles both had good new albums this year.
Brown Bird has has a good album called Fits of Reason if you're into eastern European-ish harmonies and rowdy folkiness.
Household Items by Vudu Sister is cool for your garage rock needs.
That's what comes to mind right now...

Re: Tell me what to listen to!
ALRIGHT, off the top of my noggin.
Flying Lotus//Cosmogramma; Until the Quiet Comes; LA; 1983 - Instrumental hip hop mixed with Jazz. I ALWAYS recommend this dude to everyone I know. Slick, Shinny and spacey beats of the transcendent nature. I would start with Cosmogramma if you want your mind blown right off the bat, But I find it better with him to start from the newest and worm your way back through everything. This makes the view of how his style has changed up all the more impressive. He also raps under the moniker Captain Murphy, and dropped a mixtape Duality which he also produced, which is like FlyLo's typical psych hip hop mixed with a grindhouse movie. Definitely another one to check out too. He also owns a label Warped which has some similarly like minded artists including Battles and Tokimoshia.
Me You Us Them//Post-Data - Like a good middle ground between My Bloody Valentine and Nirvana. Take the spacey floating guitar noise of MBV, mix it with a hard edge and yowly vocals that nirvana had, take away some of the gloss MBV bring to their sound and you've got Me You Us Them. They also released a split EP this year thats worth looking into.
Jack Conte//Conte - A prolific youtube musician and one half of the inde duo Pomplamoose. This CD is his take on dubstep/EDM which may seem offputting at first, but the production is solid and the songs are great. Its free online so there no reason to at least try it out. Jack also has a band camp that has all of his earlier instrument based work which really needs to be heard. If you go there I would start with the album "Dream in Color".
Hope you like it,

Fuck Buttons - Slow Focus : slow growing, beat based jams, good vibes, bobbin' your noggin'.
James Blake - Overgrown : moody R&B-esque songwriting & electronica.
Moderat - II : simple electronica that's catchy as fuck.
Bear vs Shark - Right Now You're In The Best Of Hands... : punk/post-hardcore that you can dance to, super fun.
Yellow Swans - Going Places : ambient/noise/euphoria.
The Radio Dept. - Clinging to a Scheme : and upper and downer at the same time, indie crystalline.
Botch - We Are The Romans : heavy as hell.
