Not everyone's cup, but what's your fave WAHs?

Post by synthezatory »

Just read Sir pumpkin's thread, thought I'll just spam it with another wah thread in general. Not really a wah person myself, wondering which ones tickle your fancy and why?

Wilson makes a great range of wah's, something for everyone really. I use the Feeaker wah. It's got a huge almost synthy sounding sweep...I love it...!!

foxx wah/volume/fuzz.....has a tone machine fuzz pedal built into it that you can wah with if you want, and works as a volume control.

shin-ei companion me-7 wah/volume/surf/hurricane + siren. its wicked.

cae dual fasel wah....has dual tones, one a high end emphasis the other low end. also has a pretty swell boost.

colorsound wah wah....best tone of all wah's i've ever tried, pretty wide sweep too.

Love wilson's stuff, but my favourite is the Morley Bad Horsie. The switchless wah is awesome and it has just the right depth to it so that you can use it a lot (especially on leads) without sounding like Kirk Hammet, where you only hear the sweep of the wah and nothing else. It's ok clean, but with distortion it's great.

I like my RMC 1 wah. Great on low output pickups, on guitar and even on bass it is freakin' nice
vintage sound and fuzz friendly!

also great customer service on RMC-wah's!!!

Ever since the zvex wah probe I really haven't fucked with too many other wahs. Although the Wilson's are tempting.

A guy in my band uses a Vox and it sounds tits on bass.

Every time I buy one I have bad experiences, 95q, piece of shit, the blue one that looks like a foot, total piece of shit..... Someday one will come and sweep me off my feet.......
