Supercollider vs Pharoah

I own a Supercollider and am thinking of getting a Pharoah but im worried that they both cover the same ground, anyone own both and can comment?

Having access to two muffs sounds alright to me. Mo' muff the better.

I have multiple muffs, including a pharaoh, but no supercollider, so can't really comment on that. Pharaoh on germanium setting sounds like no other muff I have though. So that says a lot. Dark, heavy, yet clear and thick while being semi low to mid gain.

They are pretty far apart on the spectrum I would say. I've had both, it seems like the Super Collider is more pissed off, although you can tame it back too

Thats good to hear. I just want to make sure they dont sound super similiar.

I would say they can and will cross paths, but then at the same time you can get such different sounds out of them that it would be worth it

I'd have to agree that they are pretty far apart. I've owned both in the past and to me the Supercollider bordered closer to a distortion due to its gain and crunchy midrange while the pharaoh is closer to a typical muff gain wise but has more output and is voiced darker.

I use a SC or Blunderbuss when I want high gain muff. The Pharoah sounds entirely different, def it's own sound.

Ive had both.
IMO the SC covers more ground

I preffered t using the pharoah more as a boost/OD with muffy texture or on bass.
