I apparently just want an entirely new setup, but man the things I would do with that setup.

I also kind of want one of these lately:

Has anyone played the Blacktop Jazz? I want to try one out but no stores around me seem to stock them

I've got a Blacktop Jazzy and I love it! It plays well, and it's pretty solid, sometimes I feel like I should change out the pickups and the tremolo for something better, but other than that it's aces. :thumb:

For some reason I REALLY want one of these right now:

Good to know. I might try to pick one up sometime in the new year but my other gas has priority, especially that AB-Synth XS and the Squier Bass VI.
I'm kind of planning on buying it just as a base for mods and upgrades; definitely thinking about different pickups, pickguard, and bridge

Ok. I'm not really Gasing for anything lately other than my band thing to work out. God damn motherfuckers. That's a different story, but there are a few things I want.

Bridge pickup is hot garbage and you'll have the standard issue JM bridge woes, but, that aside, it's a rock solid guitar.
