This is the stuff! And I live in London - how do I get hold of this cuban magic....? It's the best. Filtered, some milk, then nuked in a microwave, and two molasses-type sugars in it.

Jeez.

A word of warning - the cafe lids on these don't provide any kind of seal, so if it tips, prepare to get coffee everywhere. You have to go with the loop lid if you want to avoid drips when not vertical.

There's this rad coffee joint out here called Catahoula Coffee thats a fucking institution as far as I'm concerned. Its such a strange spot too, right in the middle of San Pablo, the fucking ghetto, and its just this little bubble of coffee bliss. Its great.

Other than that, FRENCH PRESS OR DIE N00BS, SO L33T. :picard:

That's fucked up mate - I've had coffee at every TH in Toronto and they're almost exactly the same - people are pretty fucking clear how they want their shit so there's no fucking around. I was in a hoity toity one in the hoity toity beaches on Friday and it tastes the same as the shitty TH in regent park....

I fucking hate when people call it "Timmys" or even worse, "my Timmys". Fuck off......

But hey, that's just me. I'm old fashioned.....

My drip coffee pot broke awhile ago. I miss it because some days I want to brew up a whole pot and drink it all day when I have the day off. I think I'm going to be picking up a new drip coffee maker with an insulated pot so that way it stays hot as long as I need it to and it doesn't burn on the bottom of the glass canister.

Because I've been without my drip I've been making sweet passionate coffee love with this bad dad.

This is sort of a hybrid espresso / stove top coffee pot. I love it. It brews a very strong cup and is perfect for when I'm going to be able to have one cup before work. If I'm making for two I treat it like an Americano and do 50/50 with piping hot water. This gives it a more traditional coffee taste, diluting it enough without making it weak. It offers a beautiful taste. I love it dearly.

That said, I take my coffees without creams or sugars. I don't generally like flavored coffee. Sometimes I splash of it at some shitty diners. I think Starbucks coffee is bad and burned. I drink it regularly, however, because it's been next door to my job for 6 years and the employees know me and hook me up. Plus, I've been there so much that I'm a gold card member and get free refills. The Tribute Blend is by and large the best coffee they make. I usually get American's after 12 p.m. because they only brew Pike's place (at my location) and Pike's is a steaming pile of horse shit.

That being said, I just love coffee and, much like crappy Macro Brews vs. Local Craft Brews, I'll still drink a cup from any place in the known universe. Had some awful Dark Roast from Pilot the other day while driving home from Chicago after seeing High on Fire. Loved it -- it was terrible.

My favorite location if you're in West Michigan is a place called Mad Cap. They only do pour over style drip coffee and they do a great job of it.

I use one of those bialetti's myself on weekends. It's great, strong, and doesn't use a ton of coffee beans. I wish I'd bought the bigger ones in retrospect, I might treat myself to one because hey, why have one when you could have two?

I'd trust this man--the only lid I've seen in person is the loop lid, which is A) way more convenient and B) totally leak proof--like throw it in a bag and go shred down the mountain leak proof.

Latest coffee purchase (yesterday morning) with the machine I've made coffee with every day for the past 8 years.

I fucking love good coffee.

Bustelo is up there. I've been pretty broke as of recent and I've been drinking bustelo black. Is it good/unique? yes. Is it amazing? not unless you make cafe con leche with it, and make it right (cooking down the milk and sugar, straining through a sock etc) is it cheap and bitter? hell yes.
