just not worth it to me. good sounding stuff though.

So much truth in this post.

can anyone definitively tell me if one of the modes is the fuzz war circuit?

Apparently it is though I had both side by side and I couldn't get them to sound exactly the same.
The tone control on the Fuzz War is different which gives it a special sort of scooped mid sound that isn't too scooped with some kind of freshly baked cookie grain on top, the Apocalypse does the cookie grain but not with exactly the same not too scooped mid dip like the Fuzz War, it's a bit of a middier sound mostly.
Great pedal though!
I'd definitely pick the Apocalypse over the Fuzz War even though the Fuzz War has that one special sound the Apocalypse doesn't seem to do completely.

I hope you kinda catch my drift on the cookie grain bit, really don't know how else to describe it.

I just played a show in BK and had to visit Main Drag. Played the apocalypse and was disappointed but it does do cool stuff. Definitely a fuzz war as mentioned before. Octave clang is in there as well. I played just an octave clang after and it is the same thing certainly.

It's 100% particular to me, so don't think my opinion is your's or should be. For me, the flavors of fuzz wasn't really as diverse as I had wanted. Also didn't sound how I was expecting. I do love the sweep of that tone knob.

It could be the essential pedal for someone though.

i feel like all the octave clange demos sounds nothing like the octave setting in the apocalypse tho...

They did to me...especially when I reduced the gain. That choked sound was spot on, as well as when I dimed both of them. Should've done a side by side. If there's differences it's less than the similarities.
