All in one fuzz?

Post by fuzzu »

Is there a good "all in one" fuzz pedal, or maybe "mostly all in one" fuzz?

I'm looking for a fuzz pedal that does a good fuzz face, octave fuzz, and buzzy stuff as well (e.g. Basic Audio Squarewave+ & Zippy). Anything that covers all those fuzz pedals really well? Or am I looking at getting more than one fuzz to get all those sounds?

Thanks for any good suggestions.

Superfuzz will give you buzzy nastiness like a maestro fz-1, and it has octave. can roll off the tone and use the neck pup for another flavor of fuzz or with volume etc. it won't clean up as well as a fuzz face, but is more versatile of the two.

that came also first to my mind...

We had a top ten list once - don't have the thread handy right now - but it is almost impossible to cover more than 5 sounds of my top ten list with one fuzz. All of the nice vintage fuzzes are hard to imitate with new ones (just my opinion btw).

I don't own one any more but i find the zvex fuzz factory to be super versatile and cover a shitton of fuzz sounds, especially in the gated, velcro and oscillation area.

This. So many sounds to be had!

Or you could see about a Shark Tank builder to make you some kind of double-pedal with a Tone Machine as one of the two. Maybe Rat into Tone Machine? If you put the octave of the TM on a footswitch, you could get tons of sounds right there.
