Fuzz recommendation
Hey guys, I am looking at possibly getting another fuzz. I've been using a Swollen Pickle, which is great, but I am looking for something more. I would like a fuzz that has a little bit of chunk to it for palm muting but otherwise has a great doom tone. Think a cross between The Sword and Electric Wizard.
I'm looking at a Pharaoh Fuzz and a Musket Fuzz. Not sure if either would be what I'm looking for. I like what Dunwich has to offer but I don't know if those are in my price range.
Edit: I should add that I am looking to buy used. It looks like a used Pharaoh could run around $100 - $125 and a Musket $130 - $150. Not sure what a used Dunwich would cost but they seem to be rare on the used market.

Re: Fuzz recommendation
The pharaoh will be one of the most versatile and usable fuzzes you will ever buy as long as you plan on playing it loud and spend time really getting to know how to make the most of the eq section. It's awesome powers can seem a little hidden at first. You can stack it with anything and always sounds better. The BAT revelation is also totally fucking amazing, but has no eq section. But if you like the sound of your amp, particularly an already slightly dirty amp, then you'll be drooling on yourself with a revelation in front.
And I'd be remiss if i didn't mention the ape blaster. Full on face melting gain is the only setting available, but if you're cool with that it's very balanced across the frequency spectrum, stays tight with palm mutes and fast playing, has great note definition and just sounds awesome. I have hardly thought about other fuzz pedals since I got my hands on one a year and a half ago.

Re: Fuzz recommendation
So the only thing I would say is that the Swollen Pickle is a souped-up big muff... and the Pharoah (I think) and the Musket are also big muff-based circuits. So if you're looking for something doomy that isn't taking up too much of the same sonic real estate as the Pickle;
99.999999987654321% of the classic Electric Wizard tone is in the Boss FZ-2, which is a modified Superfuzz.
Meanwhile, the Fu Manchu lead guitarist Bob Balch runs the site PlayThisRiff.com, which had a pedalboard rundown of The Sword a couple years ago:

The Metal Muff has less to do with the classic Big Muff circuit than you might think, aside from the names.

Re: Fuzz recommendation
If you like the swollen pickle but want some more chug I'd also recommend the BAT LSTR or Badascan which are similar to the pharaoh but higher gain (LSTR has more gain and different tone stack, the badascan is the LSTR gain but with the Pharaoh's tone stack and also an LED clipping option.) or as everyone else has pointed out the Ape Blaster is a damn good option, but near impossible to find used.

Ge PNP Rangemaster into Pharaoh. The Rangemaster is tight but not modern but I loved throwing it in front of FF and Muff designs. Adjusts the gain accordingly for the right balance.

Re: Fuzz recommendation
Thanks for all the awesome recommendations!
I have a Metal Muff but I just can't seem to get what I want out of it for doom.
I checked out demos of the Ape Blaster and the BAT Revelation on youtube last night. I would say the nod would go to the Ape Blaster, but I found them both to be good at different things. As luck would have it, there was a Revelation up on ebay last night for the grand wallet-emptying price of $75, so I scooped that up faster than the Mayor of Toronto in a crackhouse. I figure if it's not ultimately what I'm looking for, I figure I could easily turn around and sell it at around what I paid. Down the road I will take another look at the Ape Blaster and the other suggestions you guys offered.
Keep them coming and thanks again!

Yowsers that is cheap. Score! If you cant get along with it you'll have no hassle flipping it for that or a bit more.

Re: Fuzz recommendation
Good call on the Revelation. If that doesn't work out, check out the BAT Black Forest. So much win in that pedal.

Srsly, that's a deal.
Revelation is huge. Make sure you open up your amp/give it some significant volume to hear the magic...and try stacking with something nastier in front of it.

Special low-frequency version.
