Fuzz for a Baritone Guitar?

Post by greenlegs »

Hey guys and gals.
Long time lurker here.

So, as the title says, what fuzz would be good for a baritone guitar?

I know tone is subjective and all that stuff, but I'm just curious what you guys think as it's hard for me to get to the music shops around here due to my work schedule etc.

Thanks!

I'd say check out some Dwarfcraft pedals since Aen plays detuned a lot and is all about the lows.

For baritone I'd hit a Rat or a Muff. Rat can get more biting, muff more droney. Both readily avaliable and cheap. I'd start there and see if it satisfies and then start your journey if not.

If I was playing a Bari in a band, I'd want something thick, yet biting (mid heavy). Otherwise you might get washed out.

I wish I had a Dwarfcraft Device, but I will say that a Ruetz-modded RAT has excellent low-end response.
