I want one SO bad. But they are super expensive. Anyone out there make a good/souped up clone? Like maybe one with a pan depth as well?

There's the BYOC Soaring Skillet kit if you can solder. They claim it's a precise copy. If you can't build it, I'm sure there are people here who would lend their services.

Also, not to bust your bubble, but I think this a re-issue, which sounds nothing like the original.

The BYOC is based, I believe, on the original.
