can't support anything bastard noise does these days, atleast until Amy quits and Eric can shut up during other people's sets.

I don't know what that means but if that guy wasn't a completely opinionated vocal asshole they wouldn't be MITB. That guy's typed interviews are insane.... while in that Scion interview he comes across as actually somewhat rational.... MITB is embracing the asshole in man.....

It's one thing to be an opinionated asshole, but yelling over someone's set just to talk to someone is a different kind of asshole. Canceling a show last minute and playing numerous shows and complaining about the sound everytime is also a shitty move.

Fuck them for playing Scion, Eric complained about that set too.

Damn, just listened to this at work.

Um. This is a long way from grind. I think I may really dislike this, but will listen at home with better stereo and better environment.

My first impression was "man, I want to go play with the oscillations on my AB Synth, and run it through the ILFDD".

Haha I love MITB and they're one of the few US/90's hardcore bands who haven't aged poorly for me, but I bet Wood is really difficult to be around.....

I used to be in really super close contact with Wood while I was in college. I love him to death, but just, damn. When they were touring A Culture of Monsters and came through Baltimore he wanted me to jump in the van and roadie for the rest of the tour and then fly back home. Which would have been awesome, except I was in college and didn't have hardly anywhere near the amount of cash for a plane ticket.

He can definitely talk your ear off when you're buying some of the older releases off of him.

Eric does need a roadie or atleast a bass tech, he has so much trouble setting up his stuff.

I wrote them a letter in like, 1996 when I was a teenager and he wrote back and sent me some flyers and stuff. I have it somewhere in a box of old zines at my parents house. That was a fucking awesome yet terrible time for hardcore, when everything was so divided, emo, screamo, powerviolence, crustcore, stenchcore..... And then you had that west coast shit not giving a fuck and just blasting away..... Monkeybite was the best thing to happen ever!!! I read that shit to tatters and I still have them......

oh man I have scans of all the monkeybites on my computer here at work for slow days.

Wood seems like kind of a huge punisher. I think that's an integral part of the music though. Like, there's no way MITB could have happened if they weren't all freaks and weirdos of some sort.

This leaked and I must say I'm really impressed by the Brutal Truth noise mixes. Totally cool. The Bastard Noise stuff is great too but not too far away from their usual "straight up" harsh electronics stuff so nothing insanely mindblowing, but always appreciated 'round these parts. I dunno, when your MITB collection hits the 40+ mark it doesn't always blow your mind in fresh new directions......

But fuck me I am digging this BT stuff.....

This arrived today. I love how Brutal Truth post their bass and drum endorsements on the liner notes.... those jokers!!! It's a noise record!!

I wish I was sponsored by Warwick

Seriously I fucking love the BT noise tracks. Have they done anything else this awesome recently? Last one I bought was Sounds of the Animal Kingdom which was not so hot.... I'm playing this stuff over and over again.... they should stop making grind and just play noise..... that would be hella sweet
