Help me with my GAS!
I want this to come true (on a budget). Is there any good tips you guys got to share? I pretty much gave up on local builders. They all charge much more than I can afford. If I'd get this for 2500 € built over here I'd be lucky.
All I want is a partscaster build that won't get too expensive and that someone will give me out of one hand with a minimal sort of quality control. I want to wire it myself and to get the pickups from my own source.
MJT is who I contacted so far. But I might be open to going elsewhere. Especially since I'd have to source a Warmoth neck and get it shipped there anyway if I want the block & binding neck. Pheeefww.
Give me ideas.

You could get the whole thing from Warmoth and have it painted local.
You might want to look into Fender Japan too.
A lot of their "standard" necks have blocks.

No real helpful/insightful tips to share but WOW, I'd love to watch that thing come together!
What's your budget btw?

Honestly man, that's like a dream guitar of mine and I've been looking for many ways to do it on the cheap. However, from what I see on your specs, why not get a Thurston and have it refinished?

Yeah, the Thurston would get you close minus the fancy bound and block inlayed neck. Oh, and you'd lose the rhythm circuit plus have to deal with a TOM bridge on a JM but that could be addressed. Expensive too...

Yup, the Thurston was definitely on my mind when I drew this up. But this is more how I want it to be. And anyway the Thurston Jazzy is basically at the far end of my budget and sold out everywhere I've looked.
(I think that given a couple I months of austerity I'll be able to sink approx 1300€ Into this thing.) that's about the price of a regular Fender signature guitar over here.
I'll have to do the maths if an unfinished parts kit and getting it finished over here makes any sense.
I would actually be glad to give people business over here, but it would mean a total custom build for luthiers over here because of pride in their trade and such stuff.
Ew.

That's plenty of budget to bring that guitar to life via parts build whether you choose to have it finished here or there. Talk to univalve, he's got that sparkle green refin on the Mascis, maybe use that dude...

Yeah, Walter would definitely be the one to talk to if is get it finished here. Maybe I should take care of taxes before I start thinking too much about this.

We should phone. Michael could do the Body, Color and setup.
Try to get a (that) neck first. Additional costs won't be higher than 500 EUR.
