Just got this from eBay. The seller included a heartfelt poem about the Rat, plus some patch cables.
I dig it a lot, though I haven't had much time to play with it. Kinda sorta replacing/being an alternative to my Big Muff, which doesn't work well with my reverb. The Rat seems to do the job though. Plus it's nice and doom-ey/Earth-ey.
Have an early Vintage reissue like that and I love, love, love it. Does so many sounds so well, including lower gain distortion and overdrivey stuff and clean boosting.

This. I got my vintage reissue in 92 and will never part with it. People underestimate the Rat at their peril - as Gone Fission says, it's such a versatile pedal that pretty much does everything well. I use mine to goose just about every other fuzz on my board. It makes EVERYTHING sound better
