School Me On Flats (especially if they come in 6-packs)

Post by Eric! »

So I got dis fretless Dean 6-banger, and I can't stand the tapewounds on thurr. Y'all know any good flats? Normally I do not jive on dem. I WOULD try a pack of D'Addario Chromes but they ain't got sixpacks.

Sup.

no but you could get a 5 pack and a single C, they do that. They use to do a six pack but in the last few years they have really cut bake on what they offer.

It looks like Labella has a few different flatwound, 6 string sets.

While I've only played a 4 string, they are definitely good sounding. A bit brighter than the D'addario set I've used before. They sound good with fuzz.

And they have good customer service.
Of course they are a bit on the expensive side.

:idk:

I just cannot jive with them. They drive me nuts. I've wasted a lot of good flats. Maybe I ought to start giving them away on here. :)

I'll look.

I used to have a set of Rotosounds laying around...hated those the most. I have a set of 4 string (used to be 5 hahahaha....I broke a string like an idiot) Payson Groundwound Flats for a Dingwall bass, and I'm about to remove the flats off my Skjold 5, which I don't know what kind those are. They are supposedly new. Dunno? Look good, I just cannot stand the fucking G string (twss) on flats especially. It drives me NUTS!

I'll look around though. Sometimes, I fling strings about. lol

That's actually possible....isn't there an asexual thread around here somewhere or was that on a different forum?
