5 sec of time, which comes in handy because in every mode but reverse, you can hit the on/off footswitch to trigger a useful hold mode that's like the EHX freeze only, well, a lot more options. This includes using it for harmonized or oscillating freeze.

Also you've got multi-head options that are tap-tempoable, plus the usual subdivisions, true stereo fun, and the different delays actually act like what they claim -speeding up the delay time acts differently for a digital delay, analog faux delay, or fake plex the head moves right, fake Space Echo the tape speeds up/down, etc.

It's a sound fun device beyond delay.
I really need to snag one of those. I feel like it would pair with my Cathedral nicely for fucked up atmospheres.

I've been wanting to try one of the Boss DSD delays using a drum pedal for the trigger.

digitech timebender rules so hard. bought it on an ILF recommendation and i honestly can't see myself ever parting with it.

also, the solidgold fx electroman may not be inherently weird but it has an effects loop and a footswitch that can send it into oscillations, so that can be uh... weird.

ps. some part of me really wants to try the boss tera echo... and i own (love) a rainbow machine.

Maybe not unconventional but I'm loving the RE-20.

With the expression pedal controlling feedback I can get instant feedback or spacey washes. Or slow the tempo wayyyy down and use it as a looper. Since it's buffered, I can overdub as well. Super great sounds as well.

I have an actual Space Echo and I want a RE-20. I understand the allure, I played with a friend's for a bit and if I hadn't scored a hellish deal on this one, I was going to buy a -20.

The nearest Best Buy liquidating its full music instrument section cleared out an RE-20 or two for $100 before I could get there. Worth checking in-store clearance inventory near you.

Nothing near me, it'd cost more than a RE-20 to get to one.

I'm not exactly mobile either, powered chairs don't fit in normal transportation.

Oooo. CHEAP PEDGE.

I REALLY like the Particle. Cannot recommend anything better for broken ambiance. Playing a delay into a FUCK OVERDRIVE with crackle ON will yield lots of squishy broken goodness. Though the fuck is anything but squishy.

It's cool, but gets wild pretty quick if you keep playing over top. However, letting off the switch for a sec and pressing it again helps a lot to control it. I use the loop mode a lot for fast rhythmic phrase catches.
DD6 is just a neat delay in general.

Yep, and like my actual Space Echo and 'plexes, it doesn't go into stupid volume rampup wars doing so.
