Nice boards all around! Really digging your new bass setup Fooman, and I'm not being partial!
Behndy, so many sounds to be had in that rig.

Got mine all packed and padded up for my solo set next weekend. It's definitely the biggest board I've ever used, let alone used outside anywhere.
It's gotten a little bit bigger the past few days.

Image

Okay, so I'll break down the main board and then I'll break down the PT Mini.
Main board goes EB VPJr-> Polytune -> ABY.
A/Guitar: Holy Grail -> Bukowski Harmonic Perc -> MT2 -> Modded DL4 with soft touch swtiches -> Verellen
B/Bass: Big Spider -> MiniHawk -> 6 Band EQ -> Hall of Fame -> Input 1 of DL8 -> Sovtek

Image

Then I've got a vocal pedalboard that runs: Devi EB clone -> Goodbye 24 for 2 octave down pitch shifting -> Mushroom Echo -> Shimverb on Hall -> Input 2 of DL8

So with two loopers I can have 3 loops. I'd like to make a triple kill-switch this week if time allows, so that I can kill any of the lines at any time and put it last in the chain, so if I want to momentarily stop the bass loop without recording it I can just mute that channel.

I'm pretty sure the effect of burning and acid etching are the same on a newborn.

HawkMini rules man! I had never played the Hawk before but I really like it. It can get REALLY heavy, and the Mini just pushes it over the edge even more

Wait skully, so are you going to loop bass/guitar and then switch to bass/guitar and play over loops? That's awesome!

Somehow, I never thought about how awesome that would work. and the way you have the loops setup for different bass/guitar parts is genius. Super excited to try this when my bass vi comes in. Now I just need another looper.

Good luck with the show too!

Well the way I have it currently set up, I'm going to be running my Jaguar into the ABY- the bass chain is EQ'd to have huge low end and sound like a bass, but I don't have any octave down stuff to give the FULL bass sound. But between the EQ and the Big Spider it's got more than enough thump. Plus the cab that I use for my bass chain has a bit of high end roll off, so all of those different factors make it sound like a bass.

But essentially I'll be starting with vocal loops, then bass loops, then guitar loops, then going back and forth on everything adding different layers into one giant wall of sound.

You should try it dude! It's a LOT of fun having different parts looping, and especially with a Bass VI that would be AWESOME.

And thanks dude! I'm a bit nervous as I haven't done anything but noise sets live, but I'm fairly confident that I can pull it off
