Re: Maxon fuzz elements
I like that there's no Fuzz Face. There's a couple of cool pedals that you don't often see being re-produced by larger manufacturers. Too bad there's no explanation for why they're so expensive. How much R&D are you really doing on a bunch of circuits you didn't invent?hiorgos wrote:That's a good range of fuzzery!

You can order them from Ikebe Gakki here:

For this(ish) much:

Anybody? $150 + Shipping for a parametric EQ'ed scrambler seems like a very very good deal.

Just so happens I'll be in Japan just after Christmas. Will have to check these out.
By the way, that's not a Scrambler with an EQ - it's a Super Fuzz with an EQ. I think the incorrect info was posted earlier in the thread. When you watch the Godlyke demos it's definitely a Super Fuzz.

Re: Maxon fuzz elements
Surely "Fuzz" is an element in itself?
Also I'd much rather have had an fy-2 "companion" and one with an EQ instead of the muff... seems like they were going for unique, nasty fuzz pedals with mods that really needed doing. Volume for the scramblah, EQ for the FY-6 Superfuzz.... urgh. So close yet so far. The world doesn't need more muff clones.

I've come to the conclusion that I really want the Fire (beebaa)...which means I will hit up Laowiz eventually and get one of his!

Necroing for a good cause. Just borrowed the Ether from Phantasmagorovich to try in my rig, but I'm pretty sure that I'll buy it, because it's awesomely HEAVYYYY on bass
and the parametric EQ is incredibly helpful

Re: Maxon fuzz elements
Yeah, they do. My Katanasound Thundercloud is a Ram's Head clone-ish Muff and it's every bit as good as a fuzzfaze or good overdrives w/ volume roll off. I'm sure there are others.DarkAxel wrote:Big Muff that cleans up well with turning down a guitar volume? That exists?
it was my first guess, but then i noticed the cleaning up bit
