V-Picks

Post by Gunner Recall »

Title says it...anyone here use them?
I had $12 in "ebay bucks" about to expire so I figured why the hell not...I bought a small pointed, large rounded and a screamer in 2.75mm, all free after redeeming the bucks.

Just curious if anyone has tried them or currently uses them.

I've looked at them a few times... but I went with the Wegen 7 for huge tonez. Nothing like using a gigantic jazz pick to practice.
Do you like listening to homemade music? Me too. Why don't you try one of mine?

I looked at their site once and saw that they had a $25 pick. I laughed and closed the tab. Their claims are ridic.

Sorry, can't hear you because these $100 picks are making too much tone from my guitar.

Just get some pine sap and burry it in your back yard for a couple of million years and you can make them yourself saving lots of money.

They are great picks. This is my main weapon right now when I'm not playing with my fingers.

I just laugh at people who say they are stupid or too expensive, or don't make any difference blather blather.

They may be expensive but they also sound great, glide over the string and I love the thickness of them.

:omg: :omg: :omg: :omg: :omg:

I give them five limbed clouds urinating: my highest rating.

That may be correct for you but for me they are great. I like them more than any other pick I have tried. :bob: :thumb: :bob:

Well this thread went about as well as I expected...I'll report back once they come in
Remember, uber top shelf devi fuzzes only sound good when played with cork sniffery picks.

But I only use my fingers and thumb how will I ever justify a Devi Top Shelf.

That psycho pick looks pretty wild
I'll see how I do with the 2.75's and work my way up from there

Actually I’ve only tried a couple of picks and didn’t care for the sound and they throw my timing off.

I also felt kind of disconnected from the strings.

So I've had them a few days...

I really like these. The guitar just seems easier to play using one...my hand is less tense since they are easy to grip and they glide effortlessly across the strings.
It really does seem to have a slight effect on tone. It isn't drastic, but the different picks can make your attack softer/harder/darker/brighter.

My favorite is the screamer, and I'm getting used to the small pointed.
The large rounded is great for chording, but anything else it sorta feels weird, kinda like how MM said I felt disconnected when using it.

My only complaint is that they are easy to lose. All picks are easy to lose...but these are $4 each. Them being clear does not help, as they are hard to spot once you do drop them.
I'd like to try a few more in thicker gauges...I thought the standard ones would be too thick, but I think I could go even bigger.

Do they slip easily? I always have problems with regular picks (though the Wegen 7 is so big that it's hard to let go).
