What's going on here? Inquiring minds want to know! :poke:

Guitar into pedals, which are hooked up from left to right (MASF Possessed, Pitchfactor, Soundblox Pro Multiwave)
Pedals into Line 6 Filter Pro
Filter Pro into Alesis Akira
Akira into mixer channel 1
Ipod and Kaossilator 2 into mixer channels 2 and 3
Mixer main outs into TC Electronic Fireworx
Fireworx optical out into my recording interface

The mixer is a Behringer DDM4000 DJ mixer, it's actually a really fun piece of gear that's much simpler than it looks. It has an assignable crossfader, and 2 fx sections, which can be assigned to any 2 channels including the main out, or chained together. The fx are surprisingly good, and include a really nice bitcrusher, and midi/tempo-syncable modulations and delays. There's also a programmable ultramizer (compressor/sonic maximizer) button for the main output.

The TC Fireworx is basically the blueprint for the Axe FX, and has crazy pitch and synth stuff, bitcrusher, foldback distortion, all that cool shit TC never puts in any of their other jank. Great studio reverb and mastering presets too.

The ipod is loaded with free drum, synth and sample apps, and years worth of recordings from my external hard drive. Tons of homemade beats and soundscapes, made with all the shitloads of gear I've bought and sold over the last 10 years.

Still getting the hang of the rack units. I have to keep the manuals handy just to figure out what I'm doing most of the time...

DAMN. That's flippin' sweet! I might have to look into one of those behringer mixers. Every rack-mount mixer I've looked at has had horrible jack placement and I couldn't see the use in having all that other stuff, but after reading that description I'm going to have to think it over a bit more...

Been preparing off and on the past few days, making tweaks and trying to figure out how to be as concise as possible with what I want to do and what I need to do it for my solo show coming up in two weeks.

Essentially I will have 3 loops going- 1 of vocals, 1 of guitar, and one of 'bass'.

The vocal board is the smaller one to the left- Devi LP clone (set to be an Electric Brown) -> Goodbye 24 set to 2 octaves down with the blend high -> Mushroom Echo -> Mooer Shimverb -> Input 1 of DL8 for looping (which I found out is TRUE stereo)

The board for my guitar now splits into two sections.
Polytune Mini -> ABY -> (guitar side) Holy Grail -> Bukowski Percolator -> Diezel Mod MT2 -> DL4 -> Verellen
(bass side) Verellen Big Spider -> HawkMini (set to Mini into Hawk) -> 1776 6 band EQ to boost lows and low mids -> TC Hall of Fame -> Input 2 of DL8 for looping -> Sovtek

So I can start out looping vocals into the PA with one side of the DL8, build up bass + feedback on the other side of it, and then use the DL4 for guitar looping/half speed/other nonsense

I was going to pick up a third looper (after Gardenofthedead let me borrow his Ditto) but honestly the DL8 being true stereo works out just fine. I think I'm going to make a stereo killswitch box so that I can temporarily kill either the bass loop or the vocal loop chain at will, but other than that I'm pretty happy!

I'm hoping to get at the very least a shitty recording of the performance, although if it's anything like the fest last year there was a videographer which would be cool.

I'd be curious to try either the 2880 or the 45000 sometime. They seem awesome enough and do a ton of shit. I could imagine having either of them up on a stand for me to control the mix of and then the foot controller on the ground for when I'm setting the loops, mmmmmm :snax:
