Sweet, had the opportunity to play a '72 reverb years back, thing was godly. Hows yours sound?
Sounds marvellous but I think it needs a cap job, it's a tad too noisy. What really surprises me is that is sounds better at low volumes, never had an amp like that.

Re: Let's see your AMP!
My expectations of the V2 with bass and synth have been absolutely blown away. Super excited to add a 1x18 to my 2x15 cab and drop it down to 2ohms.

Dayum. Nice V2!
Almost scored a V2 locally a couple of years back and I regret not getting it.
Trying to sell/trade my SC120 for a V4/V4B + cash, maybe.
It's been years since I had my V4 but I want to give them another go, that or a 70's Ampeg SVT.

Years ago, I had an SVT and a 4x10. I never got to fully exploit the amp, but it still sounded damn good. Its been a long time since I've had an amp period.

Re: Let's see your AMP!
Re-capped my Sound City last night. Feels great doing proper jobs on my own amps. I've paid so much in the past at shops just to open up my amp after and see a shit solder job or incorrect values. Figured I can DIY it. Worked and fired up on the first try. Sounds even better than it did, which was already superb.

very cool
I have always been too chicken to really play with my amps much other than rehousing and playing with tubes
I gotta try some stuff

Yeah man, it wasn't that hard at all. I was supposed to recap my Sunn a couple months ago but chickened out and took it to a shop. I was so disappointed when I got it back in terms of how much I paid and what I got back, product and service. So I set my goal to absolutely recap my next amp which this Sound City needed. And in honesty, your best tool is a good multimeter. You can check that the voltage has been dropped down to safe specs and dive in. I was hesitant on doing a good solder job since my Sound City is relatively clean inside, but I'm actually pretty good with a soldering iron from building pedals and working on guitars. I literally just undid, replace exactly as it was with new caps/resistor, and go to the next one. Until they were all (six) replaced. It was quite simple and painless provided you have the tools. I had a lot of fun doing it amd wish I would have done it with my other amps instead of paying someone $250 to disappoint me.
Used my 8x10 as a work bench:

Crappy diagram I drew up with two caps already replaced:
