That wood grain pickguard is surprisingly awesome, thought it looked gaudy at first but its growing on me.

I think they were definitely going for the gaudy look. Somehow it just goes so far beyond gaudy that it's awesome. I would love to try one of these out, especially that trem

I used to have the two pickup chrome version of this. It was pretty sick but there were janky things about it.

There's a
few guitars that gold works on. That is certainly not one of them. Although it would probably still be fugly minus the gold.
