NPDs!

Post by MrNovember »

New pedals all over the place lately!! :yay:
I just received an Ohnoho Utter Stutter in the mail from Chetmagongalo today, traded my seldom used Malekko Lofi 616 for a TC Flashback a couple days ago, and picked up a Fairfield Operator about a week ago.
Got to say I am pretty ecstatic :!!!:

I love the dotted eighth and quarter note setting on the Flashback. Also TonePrints are pretty fun to mess with.

I'm still not anywhere close to done with changing the order of pedals but I ran out of power cables and patch chords while building this chain and got sad :(
Chain is:
Ghost Echo > F*ck > Operator > Utter Stutter > Ditto > MXR EQ
Operator Loop: Hoof > RR
Utter Loop: Algal > VPJR > Flashback > Dispatch Master

Things I still haven't had a chance to test but want to experiment with:
CV out of the RR to the expression in of the Utter Stutter and the stereo ins and outs of the Flashback in different feedback loops

Nice! How you like those two in the loop of Operatot!?
How does they react?

The RR intensifies in the feedback loop which is actually pretty cool.
It doesn't get as wacky as I was expecting but on the other hand it's probably a little more useful this way
The Hoof does the expected oscillating fuzz thing; glitchy, feedback-y, noise. So its pretty awesome! :joy:
Together, I'm using the RR on a lower frequency setting, which sounds almost like a vibe and gives some nice texture to the Hoof's noise.
Kind of an early Pink Floyd thing when you add in the Flashback delay.

I've had pretty much all of my pedals, except the Wah and OC-3, in the Operator loop so far.
I really liked delay and reverb in the Operator, it creates a pretty thick wall of sound that I could control with the volume pedal, but I decided to move them over to the Utter Stutter.
The F*ck surprisingly and somewhat disappointingly cuts all volume in a feedback loop :idk:
Also my EQ got EXTREMELY loud and high pitch in the Operator.
I was pretty scared for my amp with that one.
I'm going to get my shit bass practice amp from home before I keep experimenting with that.

I'm really gassing for some modulation pedals now because I've heard they go wild in feedback loops.
