Like I said in the OP, I don't mind running it this year if that's OK with everyone.

If I do end up running it, I would be more than willing to post the complete list
of who was assigned to who once January rolls around.

If everyone has their assignments by November 10th and ships by December 10th (maybe a little earlier for International) we should be good.

just a thought but maybe peeps w/ lower post counts could be in but couldn't be sent to until their person received & checked in w/ whoever takes this on? that could be a big chore depending on how many take part though... like i said just a thought...

The previously stated idea like checking ebay and b/s/t good deals standings is reasonable. Asking for phone number / home address (and confirming phone via text) is a reasonable idea.

As is yours, where we verify that all is sent off. Could be done easily enough with tracking numbers and then verification. Because that's a lot of work I'd happily assist in the administrative end of things if all the details get hammered out. And I'm happy to discuss all of that further with whomever decides to head up the whole ordeal.

Additionally -- if ILF decides on a post count limit, that's cool, too. I'll be ready for the next go 'round.

If stricter guidelines like supplying personal details and trade references to the organiser would help stop people from getting screwed over that would probably a good idea.
ILFers are damn generous but I wouldn't just expect people I don't know personally to trust me just because I've made more than a certain number of posts. Everyone deserves a little peace of mind.

Sometimes the high posters fuck things up more than the low post people though. We've had quite a few high post folks fuck others over since I've been a member here.

Maybe we ought to base it on good trade standings or ebay accounts or something else. You must give a real address, telephone #, email...etc to participate as well. That's in case you screw someone over, we can jump on a plane and stomp the shit out of you. YOUR NOT SAFE FROM ILF YOU MOTHERFUCKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I definitely agree with all of this. My post count is definitely on the low side but I would gladly submit to such measures to be able to take part. And I can definitely say that I'm no Grinch; I want to share the fuzz around as much as possible!

I'm not the type that's gonna whine and make a huge scene because I didn't get something that I just see as a nice bonus gift. The person I sent gifts seemed to enjoy them and I enjoyed stalking their posts and wrapping everything in Beiber wrapping paper. I've really enjoyed all three I've done, but every year there's been at least a few people left out and each year it's been more than the previous. Each year the restrictions have also gotten looser. It's also BS that people like Tom and Behndy have to step in and give extra gifts, which I wouldn't want because then it's not a cool SS gift that sits under your tree for weeks and you just want to say fuck it and open it, but you hold out and it's soo worth it on Christmas.

FYI, post count and reputation on here isn't everything, my SS has very high both.
