Been listening to the newest Astro-Man record and on the second track there's this cool (ring mod?) effect going on.
You can hear it start around the 5 minute mark and then Star Crunch starts twirling knobs later on.

So what pedal could get this sound or if anyone knows exactly what's being used well bonus points to ya

it's definitely ring mod. most likely an EHX frequency analyzer.
this is a picture of his board from nearly a year ago:
but yeah, any simple ring mod and a bit of overdrive would get you in the ballpark
