Don't know why this got posted twice?

Post by MrNovember »

So I've always been interested in getting into the Mars Volta but I always give up because they have so many albums and I don't know where to start :idk:
Same thing happened to me with QOTSA. I just avoided listening to them for the longest time until I borrowed my friends copy of Rated R and now they're one of my favourite bands.
So in your opinion, what's a good starting point with Mars Volta?
Post some albums/vids please

Yeah weird multi-thread :idk:

Re: Mars Volta, where should I start?

De-loused In The Comatorium is probably their most accessible album, so I'd probably start by listening to that.
Then probably work your way forward with Frances The Mute, Amputechture, The Bedlam in Goliath.

I won't post individual songs cos I think you should at least attempt listen to the albums start to finish. I'm not a HUGE Mars Volta fan but they do have some great stuff.
