looking for suggestions on a box that has a DI out and atleast a 2 band EQ. anything more could be sweet, but don't need a ton of other options.
seen the sansamp stuff (bass driver, para driver, acoustic DI). wondering if theres anything else out there?

I like the MXR bass DI
lately I have been using the mixer out on a bad monkey, it's actually not that bad

I REALY want to try out a rustybox. I don't know how they sound but they get rave reviews and have what you are looking for. Also fairly inexpensive.

RUSSSSSSTY BOOOOOOOOX.
Tronographic makes a guitar pre now too if that's what you're into.
they have two outs, one is an unbalanced that can be used as a DI. i've done it, it's awesome.
DO IT.

it doesn't, but you can buy a 1/4 to XLR cable. works a charm. sounds GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD.
SansAmp........ i like the clean tone okay, it's got some useful sounds. but the dirt is HORRIBLE. like........ just awful. never liked any of the dirt from them. not the VT, not any of the SansAmp... no. no thank you.

i've liked the sansamp dirt/tube emulation on drums and drum breaks. it sounds fantastic. thats about all i know about it tho.
i'd be running synth+sampler thru it at the end of the chain so i wouldn't be using heavy dirt. maybe a light touch to give it some grit if it sounds cool. otherwise mostly clean probably.
need XLR or the deal isn't as sweet for me. trying to simplify my live setup some more and rid myself of a mixer entirely, only need 1 input most of the time but the EQ is really handy, and the XLR 1/4" combo makes it easy for me to plug in almost anywhere. sound dudes LOVE when u got that XLRRRR for some reason. lol. don't wanna need a special cables (most places always have an extra XLR cable)
don't really need any dirt/drive, but w/ the blend control it could be nice to experiment.
don't really like this mid scooped thing i keep hearing about the bass driver tho.
oh and being able to be on a 1spot is a must. would get me down to 1 power adapter needed!
(big deal for me)
was hoping there'd be a cheaper one that maybe just had a bass&treble control or something.

Never tried them but might be up your street:

Both bass pre-amps, both less than a Sansamp. I've been curious about the Eden for a while but never see one in person.

yah. Rusty wouldna work for you. it needs a lot of volts.
are you looking at the SansAmp Bass Driver DI? that's the cheapest they have i think, about 2 hundy new?
if you don't care about eq, you can get a Radial Pro DI for about a hundy new. they're solid. but it's just a DI.

I have some Behringer miscelleniacy.
For the price, it's pretty hard to beat.
