Differences between quantum starlight and quantum quasar?

Post by BassIsBad »

Can anyone who was played with these pedals before explain the differences, pros and cons, etc. between the two (aside from one being a flanger and one being a phaser)?
They both seem like very solid pedals, but I'm not sure which one I prefer. Youtube has not proven to be all that helpful. Thanks!

Honestly that's probably the only difference, they're different effects made by the same company

Not really sure how to answer your question. I think you answered it yourself in your OP when you mentioned that one was a flanger and the other a phaser :idk:
...what's the difference between the boss od-3 and dd-3 (aside from one being a delay and the other an od)?

Flanger is better. That's the main difference.

I went ahead and went with the phaser. I think I'll end up liking more. I like really abrasive modulation sounds.

After looking into it a little more, I think the Starlight DLX is cooler than the Quasar DLX, but the Quantum Quasar is cooler than the Quantum Starlight.
I have no money for the DLX :(

Flanger has always sounded more abrasive to me than phaser.
