Vista Chino
Great show in NYC last night (though the mix was terrible)! As much as I like the new album, seeing them rock it out live raised my level of appreciation for the band. Anybody else see them on this tour?

Re: Vista Chino
I read a (really well written) review on lastrit.es, and it said the same thing - album ok, live = super awesome --> new and better appreciation for album. I thought the album was pretty diverse, not necessarily in the positive sense of the word, but if they toured over here I'd definitely check em out to see if I get that a-ha!-moment.

Re: Vista Chino
The album grew on me. I like it more than the latest QOTSA (I don't really see what people see in that) but the production is classic old school stoner rock and it just sounds so much better when cranked.

I agree the album gets better with a few listens. Live show definitely takes the tunes up a couple of notches. Black Pussy was the opening act in NYC so I'm guessing they're on the whole tour.

Yeah Brant produced their latest album, which he never fails to mention every time he opens his mouth to the press.

Re: Vista Chino
Just snagged a hard copy of the album.
Hopefully it sounds much better than the stream, by virtue of playing it on a proper stereo.
