What tuning would work well on a 28.6" bari? I want reasonable tension, low strings not too floppy, high strings not too taut. Drop F perhaps? Also, my nut is cut for 15-80 strings, these are significantly heavier, should I expect problems there?
My 30" Bass VI came stock tuned to E standard with 25-95s. The high strings were way tight and the lows were hella floppy. Eventually discovered LaBella's custom string service (cheap and fast with huge variety of gauges) and began experimenting. Now I have it D standard with a good medium tension and what feels like perfect string to string balance. The set I'm using is 110-84-62-46-36-25.
Oh, the nut didn't require any alterations either which surprised me. All good.
I know about Labella, I know about Circle K, I know these are useless for E-E, I was asking what, if anything, are these specific strings good for on a 28.6 guitar. Drop F#? Drop F? G standard?

I have the Ernie Balls on a 30" scale and E standard feels just right.
I'd think they'd work for G standard on your guitar but you might be able to go lower depending on you tension preference and set-up.
