Fuuuuuuu gahhh!

SO. CLOSE. I wired it all up today, and somehow got the directions of the switches all fucked up. I think everything works except the stereo switch. If I plug it into two amps, it goes into both no matter what. BUT, I can toggle between either just the guitar pickups , the bass pickup, or all on at once. It's just that somehow the switches point different directions

Crap cell phone shot. The only thing I want to do to this guitar now is intonate it. I tuned it to Open A with a low A string.

I'll get some proper demos of the tones and such in the next couple days sometime.

This. . .

sounds like this. . . (except I ended up using virtual amps to avoid pedal clicks and the like in the background)

Less of a real demo and more just me fucking around with effects, slides, and a violin bow. But it sounds cool so, hey! :thumb:
I forgot to EQ for bass frequencies, so watch out. :erm:

Cool project, I've been meaning to build something like this for awhile now. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

I don't give a good example in this, because I get carried away so easily.... but the bass pickup (carvin h13B) sounds so fucking cool. I think I'd like to keep my eyes peeled for some more of them. I got it from SanfordandSonny a while back but hadn't been able to do anything with it until now. I can't find any anywhere else online yet, but I'd like something similar, I think....

Edit: I posted this in the noise section, but this is the same guitar, and there's a lot of bowing action going on in here. I recorded this one mono and not stereo, though. I think I play through a greater variety of pickup configurations, too.

Here's a demo, in mono, of how the pickups sound. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the bass pickup. I also recorded this in my apartment, so the room volume was low and you can hear the pedal clicks and strings and shit. The volume dynamics are a little crazy, too.

Edit: Oh yeah, what you are hearing is a Fender Hotrod Deville 410. The dirty tone is a Mini, the heavy tone is a Fulltone OCD, and the really heavy is the Mini into the OCD. The rest is a DD7 and the reverb from a Holy Stain pedal (because I never have spare dough to buy a more dedicated reberb... )

Double Edit: The only things I'd change on this guitar so far are the neck/headstock (just looks boring) and the bridge, because it seems just a little bit janky.
