I once cleared a hallway full of obnoxious jocks by blasting Stigmata at full volume in my dorm room. True story.

MY FAVORITE WEAPON... IS THE LOOK IN YOUR EYYYYYYYYYYYES!!!

Chewing on glass and eatin my fingers!!! So bad but so good. I fell in love with the "in case you didn't feel like showing up" version of stigmata. It is more anxious and unsettling where the other version is an all out rocker. The drum intro gets me all riled up.

And the sinister slow grove of scarecrow puts me in such a lovely droning trance state. Maniacal and unholy. Totally got inspired to write a riff for my doom band from listening to scarecrow

Yeah man, around the time this album came out, my band at the time had a rivalry with the dudes opening for us (to better put this into perspective, we were teenagers). The guitarist fuckin' goes into "Foxy Lady" and calls me out, like, I guess wanting to have a shred-off? Then they played this. Incorrectly. So when it's our turn, I answer dude's bullshit challenge, played this riff the right way. He caught serious feels and wanted up on the stage to try and get at me. Security hauled his ass out of there. Good times.

as a youngster i really liked ministry. i heard all the psalm 69 and a mind is a terrible thing to taste kind of stuff first and loved it 'cause that was coming out around then. then once i heard twitch it killed the other albums for me. it's a million times better than the other shit. makes it all seem corny to me. almost like marylin manson or something. pointless shock rock. now that i'm old, twitch is the only one i like.

Twitch is an amazing album. It does sound a little dated now, but its still fucking bad ass if you're into the synth and drum machine thing. I really dig the gothy vibes it has at moments. P69 and TMIATTTT were my first exposures to Ministry as well. Twitch was the third album I bought. I was in junior high at the time. It took me a couple years to warm up to Twitch :bear:

Isle of Man I and II are my faves from Twitch, but the whole album just tastes so damn good, mmmhh mmh!!
