That's true, I didn't think the Xero DLX was that bad with single coils and I thought it sounded really good before fuzz.
Having said that, it was probably the most tiresome pedal to tweak that I've ever owned, seemed to change drastically with minute knob movements and signals from different guitars. Which is a shame because I'm yet to find a better sounding filter for guitar, to my ears at least.

I use humbuckers, but I can coil split and I use the Xero with fuzz before and after, and I only use it in two pole mode haha. I've got the standard though, so I don't know how the extra envelope controls work, but the Xero is one of my most used pedals. One of my most used sounds is Subdecay Octasynth>Xero>Dr Sci Elements. Dunno why yours was being so difficult.

If you use it with fuzz definitely try out adding some of the 'clean' in, it keeps your fuzz sound more intact and raunchy.
Another pedal you could consider is the Sonuus Wahoo.

Yeah, if you want those sounds like in the video it's definitely better than the Subdecay stuff as it does allow self oscillation and can go a bit more extreme. :)
That Robot Factory stuff seems interesting too but I don't know whether it's still available.

Yes, the wahoo sounds really cool, but all the demo are made by "standard" people and not noise makers
Sounds aggressive like a xero with the features of the prometheus dlx, but I think it can do more!
I should find more infos.
The moog is huge, but I can find it for cheap than the xero.

Robot Factory is another cool choice, but I think is really impossible to find in euro zone.

Yep. I think he's got a lot of shit in the pipeline, and from what I understand it's going to be full of filters. Everything. Pumped to see what it ends up being as his takes on fairly "done" things like od and fuzz are pretty interesting.

True that, I hope he includes a EXP/CV jack on some of it though, it would be especially cool if you could simultaneously and separately control cutoff frequency and resonance. :)

Was briefly discussed back in January, looks as if he's focused on delay at the moment so the filter might be a while yet.

How about an EHX Micro Synth? Tweakable (including easy reversibility and attack) plus with many possibilities how to make it even synthier (square wave, octaves)
