The Fall of Troy Reunion

Post by pena_55 »

So, the Fall of Troy is having a three day reunion show in Austin, TX! I can barely contain my excitement for this. I have managed to be like one step behind them when they toured and they finally broke up during the time I was in Iraq which sent me in a fiery rage. Alas, they have finally returned and I will finally get to see them for one last show! Details

FUCK!

By which I mean, I just bought a VIP package. I also never got to see them. I had a chance once to catch them in Orlando, but I decided to be at the second Harvest of Hope festival, which was this awesome festival in St. Augustine (sadly they stopped it after that year). My friends gave me crap about it, but I got to see so many amazing bands who are taking just as long of a break (The Mercury Program, for example) that it was well worth it.

Also, thank you for your service!

Hell yeah! I'll stay in touch and we'll find a place to get drunk! Have you ever been to Austin?

Nah. ITs pretty funny really. I'm from Mesquite and I have never been there.

Saw it on Reddit. I'd be excited if they were doing the Ghostship EP...the rest of their material goes in and out for me...but that album is great.

Thank god they're not playing their new stuff. I heard about this but didn't know they were playing their old stuff, that's pretty cool. I wonder what their lineup will be

Its the original lineup, i.e. Tim Ward instead of Frank Ene on bass. I'm a little bummed I wasn't able to see Frank, as I hear he's pretty awesome to watch. But that probably explains them only doing the first three albums. Maybe if we're lucky, they'll throw in some Ghostship for the encores or something

Yeah, that's how he kind of strikes me. He reminds me a bit like those anti-authority skater high school kids who whine about getting in trouble for doing something they're clearly not supposed to do. But man, do I wish I had even a quarter of his talent

Man, I pretty sure I would have an orgasmic explosion if I saw them open for Coheed.

Ditto. I found out about tfot because of that tour but wasn't able to go.

Also, I wonder if they will encore with some Ghostship tracks...

I hope so. I think it'll be strange to hear the first cd and the second cd the following day. A lot of the songs on the second cd are just remakes of the first cd.
