definitely nowhere near 8 seconds of decay. maybe half that. a subtle delay makes it feel longer, of course, but the GE on it's own doesn't get close to that.

Anyone use an RV5? I found one on the cheap in a pawn shop. I'd rather have another Ghost Echo but this is almost half of what I can get a used Ghost Echo for and they haven't been popping up anywhere lately.

I had one and wasn't that impressed by it, it takes dirt well but tends to be inaudible or consuming when used. It's not easy to dial in IMO.

Bummer. Really, I don't think I'll like anything other than the Ghost Echo if I can find another one. Other than my bg box Holy Grail, I haven't liked any of the reverbs that I've tried.

I like the big box grail series reverbs alot. the Holier and Holiest are pretty freakin awesome sounding, just unreliable and spensive.

This thread is doing absolutely NOTHING for my Ghost Echo GAS. I've gotta have one.
I'd really like one of the Hall of Fame Minis to compliment it after the fact, my secondary verb. I think my PTJR will have enough space for them both.
Holy Grail is getting the axe once I get a Ghost Echo. Not that I mind it I just want my primary verb to have some more options.

Digging the shit out of the HoF. It's got the pre-delay option as well and the verbs on it are pretty sweet. Also you can get some deep editing with a computer. The beam thing makes me feel like I'm on Star Trek too so that's a plus.

The Mantic Proverb is absolutely fantastic. Springy. three knobs with subtle modulation. Only 135$ and very very good looking. Probably one of the best deals around.

His stuff is really sexy but I haven't seen many demo's, you got a link by any chance?

I really didn't want to like the new Strymon Big Sky since I really can't afford one right now but I could totally use the chorale reverb and from the clips I've heard it sounds like they finally gotten a digital pedal to have a convincing spring "drip".

HeavyXIII wrote:Although I'm none to pleased with the amount of space it takes up and the minimal hiss it adds, the Alesis Wedge is definitely worth a look. I got mine for $50 on ebay, and the amount of tweakability it has is unbeatable. Each preset has like, 16 parameters and you can save them to a bank for recall. It does pretty much everything except spring though. I'm trying to find a similar pedal that does plate reverb with super long decay in a small footprint. Nothing seems to specialize in plate though. :idk:

The Dr. Scientist Reverberator has some great plate verbs but it isn't as flexible as other verbs out there. Still my favorite though, the only reverb GAS I've had in the past 3 years has been the new BigSky, but I know I don't need it.

Yea, the HoF is working great for my board right now, but I'm going to hang on to the Wedge for the versatility. Will probably use that for tracking clean reverby sounds when I need it to sound extra special.
