power conditioner with pedals on it
for some reason we have excess power conditioners sitting around
was thinking of tossing one on a board and using it as a pedal riser
obviously I could then run power through it
would I create noise by putting pedals on top of a power supply like that?

Re: power conditioner with pedals on it
My general thought process points to

I've never done anything like that, I can't imagine it would provide a noise issue, but what the fuck do I know.
DO IT.
With velcro maybe. Or some sort of layer betwixt pedals and power conditoner riser.

I don't know how they're made, but at worst you might want to keep a wah away from it, at best no interaction with anything. Do it!

Re: power conditioner with pedals on it
as of now I have chickened out and just threw a surge protector on there but I may try it today
I have such a limited board space I am working with
basically I have a bench in my office where I can slide my board under
it is 41.5 x 15
so that Is the board I am trying to build and still keep all the sounds I like
not an easy challenge
the power conditioner would allow me to run all my power to everything and maybe save some space, maybe not depending on how everything sets up
May play with it more today

Re: power conditioner with pedals on it
if I had 3 more inches to work with it may have worked
it's just too much overhang on the back, after powering up I didn't notice any reall noise but I think the issue may actually be heat,
probably don't want to cook my pitchfactor
I do need something to raise it up a few inches for easier stomping

Re: power conditioner with pedals on it
I wouldn't expect noise issues, I've been stacking pedals on top of rack stuff and wierd crap for years.
If sticking things on a Space Echo with enough gain stages on a board above it to shoot down high-flying aircraft doesn't do it, what will?

not who i expected, but the joke was definitely there,
making risers out of some scrap wood, and then i think this will be done
I did find some ways to save space,
first did some research and the ISO 5 powers the M5 with no problems, and I did take the time to test for any noise or performance issues
I also had to downsize by one pedal, took a while but I think this will be my board for a long time
Measuring a space and then building to it was way harder than I thought
usually I just take all the pedals I want and then make a board big enough
