So I'm working on my "Vintage" toned doom board and here's what I've assembled so far....
Marsh Chapel (LBMP)
Mr Black "Classic Combo" (fender harmonic trem + verb in a stomp) [Just thought about this and might save it for the big board as a pre dirt pedal]
EQD Ghost Disaster (analog delay and verb)
Polytune
VoodooLabs ISO5
Dunlop Power brick (daisy chained off the ISO5's 18v output to power the tuner and 1 other pedal) [if I leave off the mr. black this won't be necessary]
I want one more dirt box and I'm even thinking of adding a *gasp*......
Wait for it....
WAH!
So here's my shortlist for what I'm thinking to achieve my vintage (read early to mid 90's) doom tones...
Boss FZ-2 (for them EW tones's) or a Sonic Titan clone (for the Sleep tones)
Crybaby Wah
Pedal Train PT1 or 2
Thoughts? Concerns? Coments?
so far be it for me to give you advice...but...on the Wah, i would highly highly recommend the CAE Wah. Of course there are much more expensive ones out there, but on a budget, these ones kill every other wah at that price range. The option of different wah sound and the boost are really practical when you use the wah in different situations.
just my 2 cents...

I really dug the Cantrell Wah when I had one. It had a great midrange growl to it, but I'd definitely get the CAE next time around. Looks awesome.

Re: The Dream Pedal Board Thread: Doom Edition
Ive been debating on getting a decent wah for years. I just never really use it much and I kinda suck at it, but having a good sounding one might make me use it more. Dunno. Id secong the CAE wah though. Tim sult of clutch uses one here and there and it sounded amazing live, hes basically a wah demigod.

Re: The Dream Pedal Board Thread: Doom Edition
i got an old morley compact wah/volume
with the fishing line situation
the wah sounds so illl
since its got no spring
and switch is on side....kinda
im actually likin the sounds full open
the prob with the thing is the volume option sucks
literally
essentially you turn the wah off and its a passive vol
but it dont sound at all what my setup sounds like
so when im usin it i just always leave it full toe
i got two other pitchshifters always on
a little more octavy shit dont hurt
i def wanna get the same hing but without the vol
or maybe use the a/b swithch
love me som wah diddly
with some slide action
and a buzzin open d
boys.....im in heaven lately

More bro!
Yo summit, if you play a show you gotta film it, youtube it, then link it in the doom room.
Those morley wahs can sound fucking killer too.
I've still got my old GCB-95. Needs a new pot though. Wanted to pick up a Cantrell, but that shit is way too expensive here.
Tim Sult owns fucking wah-wah.

Tuner, Whammy, Green Ringer, some sort of octave pedal(pog, micro pog, ehx multiplexer, oc-3, etc), Q Zone, LPB-1, Volume Pedal, and probably some sort of delay.

Re: The Dream Pedal Board Thread: Doom Edition
That would be insane......
For my drone rig the dream I've entered in to is dangerous (and espensive) territory..... I think I eventually want to end up with Pitch Black > Meatsmoke Pre > Skyhammer Pre > EB VPjr > Dunwich Booster > Amp, FX loop send > Mobius > Timeline > BigSky (all three controlled by a DMC-6D) > FX loop Return. All on a PT pro. Unfortunately until I get a new job my gear fund is at zero and all I have is the PB, Skyhammer, boost and timeline and I might be picking up a PT- Pro next week.

Re: The Dream Pedal Board Thread: Doom Edition
Maybe its the buffer section but having that boost at the end with the knob at zero (so its only like a 3db boost) just makes everything before it sound amazing.
It's like a doom Klon
