Really, anything fender will get you there. Sparkle.

Ya that's what I was thinking. I've been wanting to get a Fender hotrod deville because their cleans are so awesome, but they are so unreliable. Any idea of a reasonably priced amp that is basically only the clean channel of the deville? If they don't make something like that, they should.

Whaaaaaaat? Unreliable? Bull shit. On the Transatlanticism tour, Chris used a hot rod deville 2x12 the entire time. Shit sounded amazing.

Go watch "Drive Well, Sleep Carefully" for knowledge son.

I agree with the fact that their cleans sound amazing, but I'm sure you'll find many that agree, The Deville breaks down a lot! Working musicians are constantly switching them out once they get a few bucks because they break down. The reason people stick with them is because they sound good and they are all over the place to grab a replacement.

ive owned like, five i believe? always got rid of them because i would get fickle and have to have some other tube amp cuz im a whore.

but ive never had one break down on me. i did repair one as soon as i got it cuz those 16v 5w resistors always got too hot and were too close to the board.

im talking about the deluxe though. whatev same diff kinda.
