Playing Saints Row IV
Kiiiiiinda wish I bought it on PS3 because the frame rate issues I'm having on PC are making it hard to play.

Really? From all I've read, the pc version is the best running. That's how I'm playing and it's smooth as can be.

Hey! Let's talk about serious thing. We're gonna talk about guitar, dude.

No idea what's wrong. SR3 runs pretty much perfectly and SR4 is the same engine but with super powers.foomanfat wrote:Really? From all I've read, the pc version is the best running. That's how I'm playing and it's smooth as can be.

I'm kind of curious of The Bureau: XCOM Declassified. It's getting a lot of 5s and 6 out of tens for some reason.
But it looks like XCOM had a threeway with Mass Effect's combat and Bioshock's art design. Thats probably the point though.

Yep. I've had the infinite fall happen a couple of times, but worked out of it.

My frame rate issues stopped when I stopped driving cars so I blame the cars for it.

No need for vehicles as soon as you upgrade your sprint/jump a couple of times.

Basically. Run-jump-glide is faster than any car.

Don't put a bunch of points into improving your stamina, as a set of side missions bumps you straight to unlimited stamina.

Is SR4 good then? Loved 3, which was the only one I've played. Superpowers seems... a bit too much, even for SR? I dunno maybe when playing it it works and is awesome.

Re: The Video Game thread
Yeah I really enjoyed 3 but this one is already way better. Hulk-jumping through town and running up the sides of buildings doesn't get old. The superpowers only make it more fun, for me there's no going back to the traditional SR play style.
The ability to throw fireballs and stuff is balanced out a bit by cooldowns and how weak the guns are in the beginning; it takes a lot of cash to get them going. You also have to upgrade yr powers through collecting crap in the world. I'd still play on hard to keep things fresh, though. It's more challenging but not bullshit-hard. Normal seems like it would be too easy.
Also, dat bounce gun.
And kicking people straight into the ceiling during indoor combat.
